I am setting up a new tank the tank is 72x30x32. It has been up and running for about a month and a half now. I currently have 3 A360x lights on the tank and the shimmer and tank looks great. I am getting back into reefing i have been out of the game the past 7 years and I had always used metal halide lights in the past with great success. My question is this enough light to keep SPS corals or do i need to add more Kessils if anyone has experience with these i would greatly appreciate it.

IMHO, you’ll need at least a couple more due to the depth Unless you are very careful with placement.

Without the add on focusing lenses they may struggle to punch down 32”. Also, shading will eventually become an issue.

I am running 3) A360X's on my 180 gal mixed reef. I added 4 T5 for shading which really helped. You will at least need focusing rings because of depth and possibly a fourth A360X. The addition of T5's, if you go that route, seems to slow down the shimmer a little but still looks great.

Awesome thanks for the advice. I’m actually adding two more and have added the narrow reflectors to my deeper areas of the tank. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll currently have 5 now with the lights over the reef primarily.
