Kessil AP 700 Owners Gather Here!

So I have a 90 gallon and was thinking about running two ap700 over my 48x1824 tank, my question is do the kessils along color up the undersides of acros and other sps or would I need to supplmemh with t5s?

Alright, start at 40% for a week, then 5% every 7 days until about 50%. There after 2-3% weekly all the way to 70%. Kessil suggest at least a 4 hour peak and I suggest around 6. What ever you do do not use the preset "Acclimation" program. Its way to fast.

Why so slow? I advise this routine because the lights are powerful. Though you may not see the same peak hot spots with huge PAR numbers the difference with this light is the spread. Low-Med light corals placed on the sand/around edges/ corners will receive significantly higher PAR in those areas and can easily be damaged very quickly. Also recovering from too much light can take a very long time if ever.

It may have charged since I started with the fixture and never noticed. However I don't recall having the ability to set the # of days. It was fixed at 14. If now you have the ability to set the acclimation period that is huge. I will take a look at this when I get home and thank you for bringing that to my attention.

Could you guys please share the "COLOR" that you recommend for mixed reef/SPS heavy tanks?

It will all be fine for the corals, the correct choice is mainly asthetics.

The blue light on the right side of my unit used to turn off when I would switch the Wi-Fi on my iPad off Kessil and back to my home Wi-Fi. Now it's just always on solid blue. What does that mean?

That looks pretty good. Which T5 fixture is that and which bulbs? I'd love to get a little T5 supplementation on my 425XL just to soften the shimmer and brighten the look of the tank up a bit.

It's a cheap Coralife T5HO. I swapped in a BRS ballast and ATI bulbs.

Directions were ridiculous basically useless for settings any advice on settings for starting I replaced 2 cayman sun 400w 20k pendants I've played with them a bit but don't want to fry anything or not have enough intensity any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

I don't know but I just bough the Aruba Sun 60" from BRS and will be adding a second. I don't know how it will look but I'm sure the tank will look great and no coral doesn't love T5s.

I would say you should start no higher than 40%, not for intensity but to allow corals to adjust to different lighting. Then my standard is 5% increase each week. Once you get to 60% 2-3% weekly.

How high are your lights and how deep is the tank?

It's is built as a single unit, and has brackets on the back that can acclimate a hanging kit with some easy DIY.

Does anyone else have any issues with when the power is lost and comes back on that the program for the lights does not pick up where it should be for that set time? I have four of these lamps over my tank all on the same program within the same group but yet when the lights come back on from loss of power they all seem to be a damn blue color.

Do you give it some time to start the program?

Is your light set to go to program after two minutes?

Settings.

What version of app and firm ware are you running? Have you attempted to update the firmware?

I'm in the beta test program and maybe that setting is in beta only but I would try to update firmware if you don't know the version.

i am using app version 3.2 and to be honest not sure how to update firmware. i don't have the settings on my app.

U need to get in beta program. All issues have been resolved.
