Kessil AP 700 Owners Gather Here!

Are you asking about the moonlight? I didn't think you could change that color except for blue or red and what moon phase to start. As far as color to view the tank it's really up to you. I've found that one wedge below the midline is what I like the best for now.
If you are still having issues email kessil. It should link together and be same colors and intensity. I found connecting directly to my lights instead of through router has worked best for me.

What are you settings for dawn and dusk on your moonlight. Seems you have it set for super short time period.

Right now I have the moonlight turn on at 11.45pm and off at 1am.. i find 1% to be way too bright and most of my fish don't head off to bed @ 1%. My programme starts from 10.30am and finishes at 11.45pm with the peak roughly 6 hours @ 75% 10 inches of the waterline.

I don't understand how the lunar cycle works on this thing and it's startring to really annoy me. I noticed that if you don't set your last regular point to 0%, the lunar cycle doesn't override it and you end up with a light on all night... So then I set my off time to 11pm and my lunar cycle to start at 11pm, but what happens is the light goes off BEFORE 11pm and then the cycle comes back on a bit later. So then I set my final point to 11:15pm and set the lunar cycle to start at 11pm to smooth the transition but now the moonlight doesn't come on at all...

So moonlight is set for like 1 hour and 15 min? I guess you only want moonlight to come on for a brief time then off for viewing?

It comes on for 3 hours, 11pm to 2am. The issue isn't how long it is, the issue is how it behaves at the end of the normal light cycle.

For anyone with T5 supplements, I urge you to check out what you get when you match the last two blue colors of the AP700 with an equal combination of Coral+ and Blue+. I don't know what color temp it works out to, but man is it nice.

Ktownhero. I was replying back to amardipmarway89. I do not have any issue with moonlight settings or the way my lighting schedule is set up. You may want to run it by kessil support and see what they tell you?

How many colors are most people using? Sunrise and sunset are 1, mid day could be 2 and maybe transition color is my third

I am using three. Sunrise/sunset, fading to more white midway to midday, then midday colors. I've actually turned my colors down to the third wedge from midline. I like the blue color better but not to the point that it washes out my blue acros.

Having connection issues so I need to update firmware any advice? Never done this before.

Firmware is super easy to update, particularly if you have a laptop around to bring up to the tank and plug directly into. They just have a little utility that you run and it takes all of 30 seconds.

Mine are 2 Blue Plus and I use the color just under the 9 O'clock position, yes it is spectacular. BRS tests showed that Kessil spectrum peaks very closely match the ATI Blue Plus. I add just a little red/green for some white look and I just can't take my eyes off of it. Glad your happy about it, it's your half as pleased as me your wife is going to have to pry you from looking at it to go to dinner/bed/shower anything lol.

If only I could truly share how amazing it looks.

I have a c+ & b+ and wondering if kessil
Is better at blue than white? So if f I go real blue on wheel and add 2 C+ to supplement? What split the difference but if it doesn't need help with n blue should and t5 white to be super crisp

Will update firmware later today, is there a diff that I will notice? I thought no the original firmware (mine) not sure on number will not go below 10% not sure if there are any other traits

Firmware update done, wonder if i will notice. Anyone with t5's play with blue vs white for overall appeal and health of sea creatures

Ap700 Owners.

Have many of you primarily view your tank from a sitting position and/or have little kids that enjoy your tank? If you do, then please advise or post pictures showing me how you manage to block the light spillage from your eyes.

My light is arm mounted at about 14' off the water (based on coral/spread need) and the light spillage can make it unpleasant from my couch (10 feet away) or if my daughter is near the tank.

I've asked other forums about methods to possibly tilt the light toward the back of the tank, but am curious if other people contrapted a DIY "blinder" of some sort I can copy.
