Killing Vermetid Snails help

I have had an outbreak of vermetid snails recently. They have recently been on the base of my frogspawn which I took out today, tried to scrape them off and then dipped them in lugol's. I also picked up a few emerald crabs to try and help but also realize that it is a overfeeding issue as well. Anything else that I may be able to do?
Edit: Do not respond, putting in different forum on reef central more specific to this problem.
