Kind of anemone??

for 30 I dont think so, because at my LFS (in Canada) it sells for 100 for a nice healthy one. If you could get it back to health it would be money well spent/it looks like your clown can see past its imperfections :P
 
Wow! That blue foot pic is crazy!! I've never seen that either.

Lots of light, lots of flow, really clean water. And feed it mysis, small pieces of shrimp, or small pieces of scallops about every three days or so.
 
Try feeding it. Small pieces of raw shrimp, prawns and salmon are good. Just place the food on the oral disc. If it wants to feed it should hold on to it and then start to fold itself around the food. If the feeding response is poor, you may need to try to separate the clown from the anemone. The clown will most likely keep taking the food.
 
I see that you got the pictures up. I was about to post the pictures that you email to me but I see that there is no need.
Not a lot can be done other than provide it with good current and good water condition. I would remove the clown for now as it will likely harass the anemone at this time. Good luck with him. He may recover if he does not deflates than inflates. They are very difficult shipper and most died within a few weeks of getting into our tanks.
 
At night anemones shrink down a little and is smaller than the day. How ever, sick anemone deflates, completely shrink down like letting all the water out of the anemone and they look much smaller. If you anemone cycle with deflates and then inflates, it is not doing well and will most likely died in a few days to a week or two. When anemone first added into a tank, they often deflates once or twice but should not do this on daily basis.
 
There are several threads on S. gigantea going on right now. You may want to read them. They are very beautiful but one of the hardest anemone to get healthy and one of the hardest to keep.
 
I would have to tear down the whole tank in order to Remove clown fish... Ideas for catching them?

Use a clear glass with a handle at night. I use a 4 cup measuring cup. The fish will be 1/2 sleep at night. Turn your room light or use a flash light and scoop up the fish. Anemone will not stick to clean glass and you don't have to worry about damage to the anemone.
Get everything ready and do it quickly because the fish woke up fast and it will be more difficult to catch when he is fully awake. You can keep the fish in the sump or return it to the LFS for now. You can keep the fish in a 1 gallon milk plastic container for the night and he will be OK.
 
I have a refuge... Ill try it out tonight.. Wish me luck... Really hate that I cant do much to heal it.. I bought a few shrimp from rouses market there fresh ... Just ganna smash a peice in my hand and see what happens...

ok well strike one for trying to catch the clown.... soon as my measuring cup broke the surface at night he shot out behind the rock. tried a few times. now for the gigantea i think its not deflating and inflating... correct me if im wrong but deflated looks like the anemone is extended still just no water in it... mine will retract its whole body but is still poofy... ive just noticed my p.h. is low.. going to do another water change here in a bit.. could the p.h. have a big factor here? i tried to feed it the shrimp he wrapped around it but didnt take it in.. yesterday i tried brine shrimp cube..defrosted it and tried to place clump on him. that time i did see him open and extend a lil of his mouth area. i dont think he got much though. as far as flow the water is not wipping around like i see in other tanks but there is a good flow. i have a ca-1800 for the sump return and that pushes the small returns in top back of tank. then i have supreme classic 9.5 950 hr pump pushingthe closed loop circuit from the bottom pvc in tank. i have some shrimp soaking with the brine shrimp cube to try to get the juices and smell on it. im going to ride to the pet store and see if this guy can shed some light on me.. i will post again when i return from the shop... thanks
 
okay so i went to the fishstore.... both said they never herd of a gigantea.....ummmm they sold it to me... said previous owner was a doctor..all they know..i bought marine buffer to bring up p.h. levels also some mysis shrimp. grabbed a pinch and placed it on anemone but didnt eat it.. hes deffinetly enlarged right now 7 to 8 inches open... going to do a water change wait a bit then add the buffer..guess im going to wait till tomaro to try to feed again...this has deff got me intuned to the tank and all focus on it.. i like the hobby and and seeing stuff grow ... im just glad i havent seen it deflated yet... hope that means it will pull through i will keep you posted and any more feedback is well appreciated....
