Kitchen tap leaking when connection RO unit

I have bought an adapter to I can connect my RO unit directly to my kitchen tap instead of permanently connecting it to the pipework. I tested the setup today, and it works great, the connection is secure and water flows through the unit. However, a small trickle of water leaks from the bottom of my tap set. Obviously the increase in pressure is causing this, but could the problem be worn out washers? Or an incorrect fitting? As I said it is only a small trickle of water, but im thinking this is going to affect the pressure going into my RO unit.

Right, I guess I will have to take the tap apart, find out the sizes and go to the DIY store to get replacement/s.

yup. about 0.79$ worth of o-rings/washers, 15 minutes of work, and like 3 trips to the big box hardware store!
