klein butterfly

i put a klien butterfly in my reef aquarium for aptesia control filefish to slow i have seen my butterfly eat aptesia like there is no tomorrow but he also nips at my kena tree which i dont mind has anybody else have klien butterfly in there reef tank appreciate ur input thanks

Kleins butterfly is not considered reef safe-while you may have some luck w/ sps tank -they will eat a lot of lps and softies

I have owned two. The first ate aiptasia, and was otherwise well behaved so like a fool I sold it.

The second also ate aiptasia, but other zo's and softies as well, so that also got sold.

Nice hardy fish, but I recall seeing an academic paper comparing guy analysis on this from different parts of it's natural range. In some places it ate no coral, in others an awful lot.
