Kmu´s in wall 400g build!!!

Almost done!!!

will be starting the sump and stand this week, hopefully we can start setting up the tank in 2 to 3 weeks from now, lets see!!!

Preparing for the big move, still got about 50% to box up and also prepare/cover the furniture for the move

I want to know where your picking up sheds like that so I can go hunting in that area. Oh and on a side note your tank is looking really good. Nothing like a tank that you can sit in to work on it.

Guys I need to decide by this friday on the lighting set up... I want to be as efficient as possible so I need LEDs for this set up.

Here are my main goals on lighting.
- I want shimmer all over but no disco effect.
- Need the most coral fluorescence.
- Be able to make RBTAs flourish, the tank will be soft and LPS dominated and will not have SPS unless they are freebies (hahhaha) I will not have a calcium reactor, just kalkwasser on the top off water.
- I can have single/same brand lighting or multiple brand set ups on a reefkeeper.
- Must be able to have dawn and dusk and full day

This is what I have in mind.
3 AI Hydras
3 Kessil 350s supplemented with 3 kessil A150w Actinics for dawn and dusk
2 Radion Pros with supplemental LEDs
Maybe even DIY all

Im gonna have a 3 island/pillar set up, so I dont need to make every part of the tank bright and since I wont have any SPS I can raise my lights for better coverage.

THX in advance

Looks great man! I have not used he hydras but people seem to like them from what I read. What was the deciding factor for you that made you pick them

If I went with the Kessils I would have need supplemental lighting for dawn and dusk, at least $500.

You could possibly try the cannons 120W (hint, hint). Ancient Chinese secret. I have a plan. Then again Custard had a plan too. lolol

Got some really nice deals from my LFS and Marcorocks, here are some updates!!!

Stand is made out of 2x2 steel for the sides and bottom frame and the top frame is made out of 3x2 steel. It weights a ton but wanted it to be overrated, rather be safe than sorry. What do you guys think about it?

Got 4 Hydras, lets hope they are enough, I think I will get good coverage since it will be a LPS and softie dominate with BTAs...

Some sand and salt, should be enough

Got the Marco rocks dry rock, 200 lbs of dry rock and 80 lbs of premium cuts shelf dry rock and a 15 lbs mortar kit.

Washing?

Put 300# Marco Dry Rock in my 210g in-wall last year, just rinsed dust off with water and put it in my tank. Great stuff, I too am curious as to why one would use acid? Seeded with 40# premium live rock from "Florida Live Rock", it's been a little over a year, the tank cycled in a few days instead of a few weeks and coralline algae has covered the Rock beautifully........Bud:bum:
