Knop HD calc reactor & included Eheim pump

Anyone know which Eheim pump comes with the Knop HD Calcium Reactor? My Eheim pump needs to be replaced and without taking apart the reactor I can't see the model #.

The Knop HD (the their largest model) uses an Eheim 1262.. I used the same Knop reactor for years.

One thing I can tell you. The one I have definitely doesn't have a Eheim 1260 or 1262. Actually not even sure it has a 1250. But if so that would be the biggest I would say it has. Not saying you are wrong but the pump didn't look that big to me.

If you had the HD model, your Knop may have been hacked and had a different pump put on it. Here is a picture of my last Knop HD. Even the specs for the Knop HD say that the circulation pump turns the reactor over 1200 times per hour... It is a 1262 block that it came with... Worst case, you can get a 1260 block and use your original impeller because the 1260 and 1262 share the same motor block. Removing the block to check the model is simple. Just unscrew the two unions and the pump will come right out. Shouldn't take more than 30 seconds to pull it.

Here is a picture of my last Knop HD.. Notice the big eheim..

Are you sure your reactor is the HD model and not the smaller Knop C? The Knop C had an Eheim 1048..

Here is an old link the HD Specs.

Thanks guys.....I know I have the larger HD unit....the C was too small for my system (total volume of 330 gals) and I purchased it from someone who had an even larger system. I'd remove it to see the model # but that would start it leaking again....it stops leaking after the salt creep kicks in. I am going to buy a replacement and then change it out.

Now I am confused .......which pump was the original?

LOL.. You and I both. I've owned a couple Knop HD's and I could swear I had 1262's on mine but gcarroll has me thinking I'm loosing my mind.. Mine was also a bit older and was produced before the pH probe ports were included on them. As such, it's possible the Knop switched to the 1250 down the line. If I were you, I would remove the unions and pull the pump. If you are worried about it leaking, just boil the o-rings and they should be almost as good as new.

I never fixed my Eheim pump but now the lead is ridiculous so it must be fixed or replaced. Slief and gcarroll were kind enough to respond but I am still not sure which Eheim pump is correct...found this old 2010 post from you Slief which actually agrees with gcarroll that it was a 1250. I have a call in to Marine Depot to confirm.

Don't compare my recommendation with Slief's. LOL!!! His was from recollection, mine was from an Knop HD sitting directly in front of me.

+1..

Your pictures don't lie and I was going off recollection. I sold my Knop HD long ago! That said, I wish mine had the probe port. That would have been nice to have back in the day! I had thought about adding one but never got around to it before I ended up selling it.

I called Eheim and they didn't know....all they said was that the pump was modified. I called Marine Depot since they still sell the Knop and they said it was a 1048. LOL !!!! BRS has a listing of 5 eheim pumps....1046, 1048, 1250, 1260 and 1262 with the measurements of each. Only thing is are they measuring the union valve extension or just the pump? anyway...my pump is definitely not the 1260 or 1262. It could be any of the other 3....I'm going to have to bite the bullet and just pull the unit out an see....this morning the pump stopped leaking again.....LOL so I'm afraid to touch it.
