It is a hawkfish (little filaments at the tip of each hard dorsal spine)...

... but it doesn't look like the Japanese Golden Hawkfish - it's head is too long:

It's a Plectranthias yamakawai, featured on R.B. about a year ago.

According to that article it's deepwater and coldwater and getting rather big - nothing for a reef tank.

Also nothing rare - you find them regularly on (food)fish markets in Japan.
