Hey all,

Yesterday Grant and I finally did our mini tank tour of each others tanks. Me being selfish wanted his assistance in fragging a hammer and advice on some other stuff, plus I wanted a chance to see Grants lighting setup I had been hearing about.
So in the afternoon Grant came over to look at my pond progress give some expert advice on kitchens and see my tanks for the first time. We fragged the hammer, and glued stuff my wife was sick of seeing on my frag tank. We also put some stuff into my foam tank. All in all a good project for the day. My tanks seemed to fair great and all pieces of the hammer looked happy today.

Foam Tank

Then it was over to Grants house to see his lighting. Now I wont comment to much on specifics as Grant can answer all questions. Suffice to say I was impressed. Both by his equipment and his craftsmanship. I have seen his tank before but it is undergoing changes and I think it is looking great. Not to mention this is before his new coral aquisitions from vivid. The lighting is amazing amd it's flip up canopy worked smoothly and of course Grant was already planning on redoing the outside to match the tank stand.

All in all a fun day plus of course knowing me I managed to snag a few frags from Grant to put back on the recently cleared frag rack. My wife will be so pleased:)

Thats all for now. See you all soon.

Craig thanks for posting the pics and it was fun to finally see your tanks hope the pieces we set work out ok and its always a pleasure to help out . You need to show me how to post pics sometime.

Btw the larger coral is Vivid's tri color to the left is Kens candlelight acro (I think) Below is vivids rainbow Monti . Ken correct me if I'm wrong I would like to know the name as it is doing really well and upper right is a Carolinian that is just starting to color up with the new lighting

Tanks are looking good Craig and Grant!

Grant, I'm going to have to get myself over there one of these days and check your tank out. Yesterday I also just got some stuff from Vivid. And World Wide Corals. And Austin Aqua Farms. And Cherry Corals. :)

Thanks guys,

Grant all pieces we moved are in place and doing well. I got the candy cane out from under the nem and both are happier now the nem is spreading out towards some polyps. I guess I will never win with him.

Ken you really should see Grants tank and new lighting setup. Pictures do not do it justice. BTW please post photos of your new corals when they arrive I am interested to see what you got!

Rob always good to hear from you. Is it motorcycle season? I saw some events out at Sears Point recently, and what cool places have you been to lately?

Yes, Moto season! Track days, AMA races and just finished racing myself this last weekend. I am getting better and am now actually racing for position vs. being dead last. The faster I get the more wasted I am at the end of the day.
We go up to Willows during the next two races but will be back in Sear's in August I believe. I should have some two-for-one coupons if you or anyone else wants to try to come out. Good, cheap fun!
Racing is expensive....wanna buy my tank?

Rob-

Hey i may take you up on the tickets 2 for 1. My cousin is a bike nut like you but is not racing on the track yet. It may be fun to go to sears point.

Yeah it was my birthday a couple weeks ago and I bought myself some cnidarian presents.

:celeb1:   :celeb3:

I can't wait to have the time to take some pics now that I have everything acclimated and algae scraped (very busy last weekend, much "arm in tank" time). Of course the algae will probably return by then...

Grant, might you have some time this weekend for a quick visit?

Back at you birthday boy! The piece of undata I've been saving for you has encrusted itself down the rock mount it was on and onto the rock that rock is on, so it's not coming off easily. I do have another frag of it that's a bit smaller but much more easily removed.

OT, how's the spring treating your vines?

I've been noticing some vine removal going on on the east side of 116 just north of the 121 junction in Schellville. And more on the north side of 121 right by Domaine Carneros, but I'm guessing that's to facilitate the road widening that is going on there maybe?

Craig, Grant, sorry for the thread hijack...

Hey Ken since it was you no problem. Anyone else

jk BTW my Bday was the 5th so it seems the bulls like the reefs. I guess the Geminis too.
I got 2 bulbs from Steve for my present.
