Kole or Tomini in a cube?

Would a Kole or Tomini Tang be ok in a 2x2x2 tank (approx. 250ltrs).

Tank has a minimal central rock formation that is 8 inches from the glass all round.
Loads of flow as mainly SPS (Gyre, Tunze & return from 50ltr sump).
Other fish are - possum wrasse, bi-colour Benny, starki damsel & 2x purple fire fish.

Any tang will use every inch of space in the tank, whether it's a 4 footer or 10ft tank. I've seen Kole Tangs in Hawaii. They are not as active as other tangs. They tend to swim from one rock formation to another picking at algae for a considerable amount of time at one spot before moving on to the next one. I'm assuming Tominis are very similar in their behavior. That said, I would rather recommend another active fish like a Barletts Anthias instead of a Tomini tang for a 60 cube. There are videos out there on YouTube with tangs in 60 gallon cubes and the tangs don't look like they have much space to swim. I've tried a small Kole in a 3ft 50 gallon and had to re-home him just after a couple of months because he was getting too aggressive in it.

Cheers.

I think what I want isn't going to happen. Active (like a tang), isn't a wrasse, isn't an angel (eats SPS/LPS), not a long thin body like a fire fish/Benny, not an anthias. Swims in all areas of the tank.

You could try a basslet or a hogfish...Also green chromis are very active and pretty.

When people at RC shut down what you are hoping for, just means it's a good excuse to "upgrade" :bounce1:
