kole tangs

how many f you have kole tangs and what do you feed yours, mine eats but is starting to thin out, but there is plenty of algea so i dont understand, anything helps even pics or what ever

I keep a Binotatus (blue eyed kole) and he eats everything. At first he was pretty picky but he really went for the mysis shrimp from the get go. I feed a pretty good variety of foods; PE mysis, formula 1 & 2, blood worms, krill, spirulina flake, nori, enriched brine shrimp and he really likes spectrum pellets. HTH

to faten him up, go to your local grocery store or asian market and get nori rolls or sushi rolls as they are called. Give it to him everyday. Tangs are herbivores in nature and only in the aquarium do they turn to eating meats. Its fine to provide them with protein like mysis, but need their greens more then anything.
