Kole & Tomini Tang compatibility

I currently have a beautiful kole tang and was thinking of adding a Tomini tang. Will these two be ok together?

Tank is plenty big and only other inhabitants are a few damsels, shrimp and goby pit and various inverts.

How big is plenty big? Dimensions would help. Gallon size is not the only determining factor unless you are talking huge.

I would say no. Both tangs are from the Ctenochaetus species. Also, is the tank a 5ft or a 4ft tank? If it is a 4ft, I would only recommend 1 tang. If it is a 5ft, you may get away with something like a yellow tang. IMO, I wouldn't try the Tomini, especially with the Kole already being established.

The two conspecifics occupy the same ecological niche and will compete for territory, likely to the death of one of them.
