Koralia 1150 Powerhead

I bought two koralias 1150 for my 65 gallon tank. I placed one on the left facing straight across the tank and the other in the back right facing the front glass andleaning down. I feel like it's too much power for the tank. It stirred up so many things on the rocks that made the water murky. And my two clownfish look like they are struggling to swim as they get pushed by the current. But everyone keeps telling me that that is the power I'm supposed to have. Prior to this I only had one 850 koralia running.

I have 2 950 in 40 gal tank eco system loves it... so I dot think they are to much probably need better adjustment

No I dont, they are constantly on. Also it isn't letting me upload the .jpg but I think I explained it well enough.

the clowns will be fine, the ocean pushes much more water. And it's good that the extra flow kicked up all the detritus. It'll give your filtration and chance to keep the water clean.

Rather than point either one down, place them about 1/3 down from the waterline and point them up so they agitate the surface. That is where most oxygen exchange occurs

And FWIW - my 120DT is at about 80x turnover.

I still have that 850 gph powerhead, should I add it on to the 2300 gph total powerheads that I have? I took billdogg's advice. I have one pointed from the left straight across the tank tilted down and I have another 1/3 down the tank pointed up to create waves in the tank.

What are you planning on keeping? If it's softies and/or LPS, the 35x you have now should be plenty. SPS could use more. It will also depend on how your rock work is arranged. If there are any low flow areas another PH couldn't hurt.

Another thing - IMHO, the koralias seem to be just a bit over rated as to their flow rates. I found them to be very effective - I used 4 x 1500gph in my 120 for several years, but I've since upgraded to 2 x Gyre 250's. The difference is night and day.

I'm planning on keep LPS and softies. I'm trying to get up a photo of my rock formation with the powerhead to show you guys but it isn't letting me post my .jpg from my phone.

I have 2 Koralia 1150s in my 72g, and have been thinking about adding a couple more. I'd like a bit MORE flow actually.
