just wondering what would be the best action ?

Without regular cleaning, the Koralia's will sputter/stop running/freeze up/restart running backwards. Typically, pulling out the small square cartridge and soaking the impeller, magnet and cartridge itself will get it back to 100% working order. The pumps tend to get precip buildup and that causes them to fail. I pull them and clean my 3 #4's every 4-5 months and they have served me well for over a year now.

If the pump stops, stick your finger into the Koralia and push on the propeller. This should restart it. Trust me, it won't hurt you when it restarts.

I lost a washer for the impeller while cleaning it. They sent a new impeller, shaft and washer no questions asked. Mine is 8 months old, I believe they have a 2 year warranty. Give them a call I was impressed with their customer service

Yeah mine is dead its as clean as the day i bought it i spend at least 2hrs a night cleaning and preaning my reef I plug it in and not even a hum or a vibration ?? Ill call them tom.

thanks

I've had my #4 for about 18 month. I clean them every 3-5 month due to the build up of junk. Some time when I stop them, I need to restart them with a little push on the blades.

I have had 2 #3's and a #4 running for about 8 months. I don't have any issues with them. I do clean them along with my skimmer and return pump every 4 to 6 weeks.

budman,

I have a nano that I used in a 16 hex. The only problem it ever gave me was that it wouldn't start without a little "help". I opened it up, wiped down the impeller put it back, works like a charm. Have had it for about 6 months.
