I purchased a Korallin BioDenitrator some time ago and it is doing a wonderful job at keeping nitrates low (.3 using professional water testing). That said however I have recently discovered the smell of sulphur (rotten eggs). I think I heard that this is an indication that the drip rate is too slow.

Are you able to confirm what the smell is an indication of and what corrections are needed?

Thanks.

That is correct. If you are getting a sulfur smell, you are not feeding the bacteria enough and need to increase the flow slightly.
