Korallin BioDenitrator / User Insight Needed

Well, Kinda getting tired of carbon dosing my (ULNS).

I know I can hold down phos. with my GFO reactor.

So been looking at this unit for nitrates.

Can it hold nitrate at like 1ppm by adjusting flow?

Please list your pro and cons with this unit and this nitrate reduction method.

Any user input would be greatly appreciated!

Ive used them many years ago. Works but was a very high maintaince item. Bacteria clogs the line and you have to adjust flow rate often. When it clogs make sure to get it away from your sump and flush down a drain or into a bucket, if you flush into the sump you will spike your tank.

Thanks for your input.

After digesting your experience I'll pass on it!

I never had good luck with a denitrator, Many years ago I tried on two different occasions and was never happy with their success.
Great idea but does not work as advertised.
Easier and much more effective ways to keep nitrate levels down
I don't know anyone who has had denitrator results like gthe results claimed.

another opinion!!!!

i have been running my sulfur denitrator for over 4 years on a heavy stocked 300 g mixed reef. Unable to control no3 to my satisfaction, i turned to sulfur. Now i feed 5 times a day with an auto feeder and 1 time with frozen and algae while maintaining no3 at ~1.00; prior no3 would get as high as 50 ppm.
