Effluent rate? I'm assuming the ml\per min/dpm?
its set for 50dpm, and 12bpm at the moment... but i'm taking a break with it right now. Otherwise out the window it goes.
Yeah, I'm still tuning it. This makes the thrid or fourth time i'm had to take it down for maint. but every other time i've had it down in just a few days. I think my problem is that my calcium is really just too high, I've been doing 15-20 gallon water changes to get it down but it just staying up there. I'm having a time with it this time. My alk keeps tanking every other day. It will stay spot on one day, and by night fall it drops, then the next day tanked. So I've unhooked the reactor for the time being. I'm letting things settle down on its own after a couple more water changes. Then add part 2 for the alk, and turbo for the calcium. Then I will start all over........again.
I orginally, I think, messed up when I first began and was testing my calcium so that I could add turbo to it to bring it up to 420. Well, I used low resolution for the test, but I read it as normal instead of multiplying by two. so when I more than likely only needed to add 50-100ppm I added 100-200 instead. What an idiotic mistake. Thats the only reason I can think i've been having such a hard time. Its also the only reason I can think of that my calcium is through the roof!!!
When calcium is too high the alk will be driven lower correct?
