Clams in sand or up higher??

Clams in sand or up higher??

Any suggestions as to if you would place those maxima clams up on the rock structure or in the sand bed? I know they like more light...but do they feel more comfortable in the sand bed??? As far as lighting goes i've got MH and T-5s...so what's your comments?

How big is it ?
I prefer to have clams in the sand bed myself

Also your tank is filling up past maybe it's time for another meeting to show off your new addition?

Amazing build! The glowing frosted glass was a really nice touch! I don't know how you leave your house...

You're very close to the truth, I have a hard time leaving the house! It gives me a great excuse to invite people over... Its a good thing I love house guests.
There's no where like home... Litteraly!

Does anyone have there preferences as far as large scale calcium reactors that would be able to keep up with a large SPS tank? I've heard a few people on YouTube mention MRC industrial size reactors... Anyone with experience using that brand? It's going for about $1,100 online, is that normally a good price for what I need?
Thanks George

Hello George,

Do your self a fav and go to Reef Frontiers and look at Billwann's 20,000 gallon build thread. He is a master craftsman and builds some killer skimmers and calk. reactors and does nothing but high quality and know's his stuff. I think you will be glad you did:)

Your build is truly a work of art!!!

Wow George, the video you posted was AMAZING!! I showed it to all of my friends and they were also soooo impressed! I keep watching it over and over! What is the next step with your tank???

For your query about Calcium Reactors... Size doesn't really matter. An efficient design will produce adequate calcium. The size only effects how often you have to open it and add more.

For super efficiency with a small footprint look for a fluidized design.
