LA has gigs in stock

They posted last night just after midnight.

I grabbed a large one. It's time to try again.

Maybe I should order more salt..

These are from LA not DD. so.. I'm hoping they will respond better to meds .. If meds are needed.

Of subject a bit, but I didn't see a single gig or ritteri on DD during the 20% off sale.
And these popped up 2 days after the sale ended.

I can tell you that the one I ordered from LA non DD is thriving and doing very well, responded the next day to treatment and never went downhill. It is still recovering from being bleached and I have a feeling it might not end up being tan like advertised but either way I love gigs :).

What color you think it will turn out to be?

I ordered a medium sized one, I should have it by Tuesday.

You know guys once you get the gig healthy they seem to be realitively hardy from what I can tell. Remember these things get big and can take up half your aquarium, they are magnificant animals

Well it was bleached when I got it in so I am wondering if they put a yellow bleached anemone in with the tan category. I am not sure at this point as the only colors I see is yellow, green and white. I have heard that green is normal when bleached, but if not then I could be looking at a green.

I have a thread running with pics of it, also have a blue tip mag in the right corner of the last fts you may appreciate although under my lighting I can't capture the blue tips in my photos, might have to do with the way my white balance is setup.

It's actually the opposite. To the best of my knowledge, these is no such thing as a yellow (think tennis ball yellow) gigantea. If it's yellow, then it usually turns into a green, or partially green, gig.

Tan gigs are cool because they usually have tints of other colors such as pink, purple, or green. If you're lucky, you may have a multicolor gig, which looks a lot like an iridescent oil slick, where the tentacles appear to have different colors, all mixed together.

I know that, which is why I think they mistook the yellow as tan and I ended up getting a green.

I was pretty sure you knew, but the way it was written made it seem like you were almost saying the opposite.

A lot of the "tan" gigs I've seen lately are not actually tan, but more of a multi-color, but not the rainbow types. These are a mix of green, brown, and tan as you described. My little gig is not completely green like we see in the larger ones where they are completely green, but I suspect when it gets larger it will become more green.

Getting a gig is like hitting the lottery but only better. With modern treatment methods you can get an animal that can outlive u
