Hi Folks,
I'm a newly Certified Open Water Diver and will be visiting San Diego this coming weekend. I live in Alabama and my company is opening a branch in San Diego so I'll be back and forth over the next 6 months or so helping out with that.
It looks like La Jolla Cove is a great place to Dive and/or Snorkel. Everything I've read says that it's a great place for beginners and experienced alike because the water is very calm and all the good stuff is usually found between 15-30 feet with a max depth of about 45 feet. It's suppossed to be absolutely teeming with life too.
Can anybody speak from experience?
And are there any good dive shops close by to rent equipment?
I was thinking about taking a guided tour but thought I'd post here to see if there are any of you San Diego locals out there that might want to get together occassionally when I'm in town.
(and don't mind the fact that I'm a new diver). If anyone's interested, PM or e-mail me.
