La Reefs - Will they ever deliver?

Has anyone tried to order macro algae through LA reefs before? I got the link from the sticky post and found some great looking flame tip macro algae. I placed the order on Oct 20 and received my order confirmation. But it's been in pending status ever since. I've attempted to contact them through their website twice since placing my order requesting a status update on why this hasn't shipped and have not heard anything.

I haven't been able to find a phone number and I'm about to request my credit card company refund my money for non-delivery. Just hoping someone has experience with them being slow shippers/non-responders but they still got their items or someone has a way to contact them.

For now I'm telling everyone not to order from these guys...

They never seem to have anything good in stock.... Lots of cool macro listed but all out of stock...

Checked their website.. They had a few varieties that I did not... Shocker! So placed my first order with these guys.. I will let you know how everything arrives.. When it arrives..

I haven't been provided any communication on when it will be shipped to date..

I have order from them twice and received both orders. The do have some nice macro but have limited supplies. I have to check every week to finally get what I want in stock.

I should have updated this post. I received my package in early/mid November, quite some time after the initial order.

They said my package was probably lost by the post office and gave me a USPS tracking number that stayed at "pre-shipment info sent" forever. What's interesting is that he finally responded to all my requests for information the day I posted this.

In the end, I'm glad I finally received my order... but I don't think I'll go through the hassle of ordering from them again due to the poor customer service and lack of communication.

I do most of my aquarium shopping online and this has been the worst vendor in terms of communication and shipping delay by far. Hopefully you have a better experience than I did.

I placed an order with them last week, still waiting for it to arrive.. Got an email on Tuesday saying that it was shipped.... No idea when it will arrive.. Have not been provided tracking #s

Box was destroyed... Guessing it was an issue with USPS

Both Macro Algae inside seemed to be just fine! Success!

Update: both macros made are doing well.. Checked their availability a few days ago and they posted codium lucasii for sale.. Bought some of that. Hoping it arrives tomorrow!!

Got my codium yesterday... Well packaged and in perfect health... It came mounted to which was nice

My second order seems to be MIA. It was shipped on Monday and still waiting for it today.. I really hope it arrives tomorrow. I order two of the codiums too, would hate to lose em in shipping ...

10 Days and still no package... Emailed website several times with no response. I find it funny that the 2 people I informed about the Codium they had in stock both got theirs last week and I order 2 days before both of them and still nothing...

They have great stuff but their level of communication is definitely lacking

You do know...it is Christmas time..Packages are going to get lost/stolen/delay. Can't blame the seller for it. Thats why I haven't order any livestocks from any online vendors.

Also, don't expect up to date information from USPS.

I don't go through their website as I have noticed it doesn't get updated as often. However, I have ordered quite a bit from LAReefs from 20+ red yumas and 10 SPS frags. Out of all that, only 2 yumas melted, which he quickly refunded with no hassle.

I don't expect LAreef to screw anyone over as I found him to be very honorable.

I have used them before with no issues.. Their communication is just extremely lacking

Got the update that I was looking for..

So when I first contacted them looking to add to an order I previously placed, they informed me that I could not add to the order because it was shipped on 12/15. Okay, no problem.... After a full week goes by, I sent several emails to them asking for tracking or an update on delivery... Took several attempts but was finally told that it has not been shipped yet due to the holiday... Happy to hear this out because after 10 days im sure it would have died in shipping... So my order should go out on Monday and arrive later this coming week. I have attempted to reach out to them to add to my order once again since it has not been shipped out yet.... No reply

I like this website, I love their variety, but their communication is just lacking which is a shame because their products are incredible.
