LA - Tank Bred Annularis Angelfish

I bought a Tank Bred Annularis Angelfish from Live Aquaria almost a week ago. It said "Approximate Purchase Size: 1" to 2" ", the fish I got was less than 1 inch, so thin and I thought it would have no chance to survive. Well, he is still alive, and eating greedily, but hasn't gotten any bigger or fatter. I am not upset with LA, if the fish lives, I am happy. I never get excited over new arrivals, since I've lost far more fish within the first week than after the first year. However, now it looks like this guy is going to make it.

Any idea what to expect? Will he turn into an 15" monster or top out around 6"? Will he get adult coloration in 6 months or 6 years? I remember a lot of excitement around these guys when they first showed up a Live Aquariua, but all I see now are posts about Clarions when I try to find any information about them.
 
I'd say full coloration in the first year since this species changes quicker than others. LA says max size is 1' so I'd expect him to get at least 8-12". I've seen some very large ones but I'm not sure if they were wild caught at that large size or not. Feed him 3-5 times a day with a variety of foods (shrimp, scallop, pellets are great for fast growth). All this depends on diet, tank size, etc. If fed well these fish grow very fast.
 
annularis are very fast growing fish. mine has grown around 3-4" in the past 6 months. I feed him 3 times a day but he has grown more rapidly than any other angel in my system.
 
Ive had 2 and both have come in under 1". My new one is a few months in my care and is still small but not as delicate looking as it was when it first arrived. Great fish!

You see the adult that came up in LA/DD today? Total stunner and "only" 5.5"!

I feed mines mostly NLS and it grows as quick as my french angel. Went from three inches to eight in about two years.
 
beachbreak - amazing if this little thing looks like that one day.

I've been feeding mostly pellets, he's too small to eat anything else, and the pellets are almost too big. He sure eats a lot for his size. This is a large tank, lightly stocked, lots of rock, and I see him picking at the rock all day. He is still a thin fish, but I think he looks a little bigger and not as thin as when he arrived.
 
these fish are much tougher than one thinks!
they are changing over insanely fast...

I feed baby fish this size 7-10 times a day..

Mine loves pellet. I feed pellet 1-2 times a day, flake once and frozen in the evening. There isn't much this fish wont eat!

My first one started to change at 6 months and 2.5-3"
