Lack of Polyp Extension

Sorry. I think RichK has a waiting list for M. confusa. It's a slow grower, and tough to frag. No pennies in the tank as I live alone, and none of my friends are that malicious.

Well...if large water changes don't make a difference, then a lot of things are ruled out as the problem. Is the ANY difference at all after a WC? UV's are a bit spendy, especially for one that truly works on a large tank. Can you borrow one from a friend for a while?

Hey Jim, sorry I couldn't do MACNA. Anyway, this is a simple thought...did you try changing flow patterns? Maybe redirecting flow a bit to see if it changes anything. Any fish in there that may be picking at any SPS? Another thing, I also have noticed that montiporas are not affected by acros bleaching and "RTNing" in the same tank or right next to them, go figure. Did the table bleach before or after the corals stopped extending polyps? Got me thinking here...damn.

Jim, how old is your tank? Also, how long have the corals been in there. Contrary to many, I believe you can give many SPS corals too much light, especially if they are not adjusted to the light. Have you recently changed the bulbs? I have turned the lights down some on my tank and everything looks better, even high light corals.

Scott

I hope things are recovering
