so i saw a tank on here of a lagoon refugium and i thought of some stuff......would it be possible to do soemthing similar but on like a 4000 gallon scale or somewhere along those lines.....how big could the mangrove trees grow cause i think it would be really cool to have like a mangrove tree jsut one large one growing in there so the fish can swim throughout the roots and stuff......obviously i couldnt do this now lol my mom would kill me if i added another tank

I worked at an aquaculture facility where we grew mangroves like crazy. they sold well, so most of the med-lrg sizes we sold off. We did hold onto one just to show customers what the little guys do grow into. It was under natural sunlight, and during the winter months was supplemented with 6500K MH. It was about four feet tall with sweet root structure, nothing like you see in nature though. To get a real sweet root structure the mangrove would have to be considerably larger and older IMO/IME, however you might be able to grow them like a Bonsai (short and wide).
