Shred5 Terrestrial Lagoon and Fish Room

Small update to just the Lagoon:

I am starting to build out the stand on my lagoon. It is t-slot aluminum stand.
I am started with a small shelf and a cabinet for the first section. The cabinet is for all the electronics. This being a rimless tank there are just to many drips and tired of them on my controllers etc. I was going to build the cabinet with glass or acrylic myself but found one on Ikea's site I am just rebuilding for my purpose. I still need to finish them. They need to be secured to the bottom and each other, trimmed etc. But this picture gives you a idea of what it will look like when finished.

Also I moved the sump on the lagoon and was way bigger project than I thought:

That cabinet fits nicely!

Yea it does. It saved me allot of time and I liked it is frosted.
I really like building stuff but I doubt I could have built it for the price.
I had to modify it. The back is a kind of cardboard and it wont fly. I also needed to attach equipment to it.

I have to figure out a way to make everything accessible at least from one side. So the other side will most likely be doors.

Has anyone ever attached doors to t-slot 80/20...
I know they have stuff to attach it directly to the aluminum. Anyone done it and how does it look?

Well an update. I know I have not been on the forums much lately.

I have been ripping everything down in the basement. I had like 10 + aquariums and the Lagoon and it was a huge project ripping them down. Cleaning everything up that left me with little or no time. I also built a smaller rack system To hold some of my corals till we decide what to do. I will post pics once I have some of the new system. No worries I am not leaving the hobby.

Reasons for the changes and there is allot.

The biggest issue is I hate being in the basement. It gets really cold in the winter in the basement and I end up wrapping the sumps and the tanks. It gets into the 50's... So with the tanks wrapped I can not even enjoy them several months out of the year. In the summer I am in our garden. So the best time of the year when I have time I can not even enjoy my tanks.

Second issue is our water prices skyrocked. Our city water had high levels of radium and they now have to get water from another city and they are really charging allot of money. I mean our water bills are tripling.

The cost of keeping this many aquariums has just got enormous between water and heat and I am also do not have the time like I did before.

I honestly hate being in the basement and want to move upstairs.

I would like to do another system up stairs like this one I did:

I would rather have a aquarium I walk by everyday. The basement is out of site out of mind thing.
Problem is there is no room upstairs right now. We are at the point where we want to go and do more stuff and leaving that many tanks is ruff.

There simply is not enough time for all my hobbies and I am scaling back on everything.

I also at the point were there is just to much going on in my life. Our garden is really been growing but we may scale back a tiny bit here because we really do not get much rain and with water costs are going up too much. Are summers have got so much drier and hotter here. We were going to increase the size too. We no longer need to because we have become more efficient at growing and not growing more than we need.

But @griss I am still around.
