LAK's 15g Cube

dang, i really wanted to see that warner in action too and getting an opinion i can trust on it lol

yeah i think it would be for the best to get the octopus asap, maybe going for the larger version since i clearly see a upgrade in the future :P

TJ/LAK why don't you see if you can find someone locally with a Remora that they're not using and borrow it for a month...

Here are the only decent pics I could get of the watchmen so far. Both pics are of the same one. This one seems to be bolder than the other. They are both around 2.5 inches, though.

Looks like the one we have but only smaller...ours is at least 4" or 5". :D

Happy to see all the progress in your tank Laura.
Was very busy lately with tank move and everything so now that I checked the few past pages it nice to see everything moving so fast.
Love the scaping of your tank as I guess positioning corals will be easy with those mild slopes (a sore subject for me with 3 tank scapings already...) Love the goby pics and please do update us on your sixline with the flatworms as I have some on my mushrooms that I pick up from time to time and always miss a few that seem to reproduce again...

The skimmer decision is totally out of my hands, lol. I think were going to get an Octopus.

Cool! How long did it take him to get that big? The guy I got my pair from said he's had them in his tank for a year. I can't imagine both of mine getting to that size and staying in my tank, lol.

Thanks Maroun. The tank is really starting to come together and I'm really excited! I'll keep you updated on the sixline and the flatworms. I can definitely say that since I added the sixline, I see less FW's on the acrylic.

Also, last night TJ and I went to Aquaworld in Pittsburgh and I bought a huge (5 inches) green stag for only $55! The color is awesome under my light! Thumbs up to Aquaworld!

Now my clown gobies will have a sweeeeeet new home :D hehe

I'll take some pics when I get home from work.

Not sure, we bought it that size. ;)

The goby in the 10g Nano is only about 1.5-2".

Got a bit of bad news regarding the skimmer...

The Warner Marine gen2 H1's are still 4 weeks out from release. So we have a little bit of a problem... we can either run "as is" for 4 weeks, or pick up one of the Octopus models from Salty Critter next week.

I was really hoping to try out the Warner Marine model, because I think it's a slick design... but I think running skimmerless for 4 weeks on this particular setup could cause some problems.

Any OTHER setup... I would have no reservation waiting, but judging from how the addition time line seems to keep rapidly increasing... I think we need to get something on there sooner rather than later.

I hope to have my H1 in a few days. Scott at Aquarium Specialty said he talked the folks at WM out of the one production model gen2 they had on hand for me. It is supposed to be in transit as we speak!

If you really want one for Laura's tank, do a lot of water changes and tell Laura to slow down on the purchases. I think it will be worth the wait. I'll be posting a review as soon as it gets here. :D

And, nice stag Laura! Now slow down. :D

Thanks! Haha, if TJ says I can add it, I add it. :D
