LAK's 15g Cube

I believe some of those will be coming over to my tank tonight!

A few days ago, I picked up a small sixline wrasse because I have some benign flatworms..he seems to be taking care of them already! I also got a mated pair of yellow watchman gobies from a local reefer and they are absolutely awesome. I will try and get pics soon.

They are so cool! Of course they have chosen to burrow in the back of the tank as of right now...blah. They do come out from time to time, though. I'll try and snap a picture of them.

Here is the only decent pic I could get of the sixline. He just swims in and out of the rockwork all day.

you can find remora skimmer in the for sale section, but they are noisy and they go for 75 to 100 usually(not always depends what it comes with). the 90 is a relative number btw, it says 90 but i bet you its closer to 50 or less when its a fully stocked tank.

I'll take those corals out of your valuable real estate TJ :P! Just send them on over

He looks like a healthy sixline Laura :)... Can't wait to see photo's of the gobies :D!

Are sixline's prone to jump like other wrasses?

All wrasse's are prone to jumping, I believe. Sixlines aren't a huge threat in my mind, though.

Watch...I will find mine on the carpet tomorrow morning lol :)

Thanks, Kudora. I think I'm limited to those 3 TJ posted, though. Those are the only ones he approves of as of right now, haha.

Hehe, He brought me 2 of my 5 acans tonight. Hopefully they do well.

The sixline is a little pig. He just swims around all day and eats off the rocks. He's fun to watch.

The goby pair comes out and sits right in the middle of the tank as soon as I sit on the couch. Then when I get up to take their pic, they hide. Hopefully they get used to me in the near future so I can post some photos!

Hooked up the ACjr, tested the water (although I forgot the spoon for my Mag test :rolleye1: ), and dropped off a few "test" corals.

At this point everything looks good. Although the dKH is a little lower than I prefer. So I'm going to have Laura start dosing 4ml of the Alkalinity part (ESV 2-part) to the tank on MONDAY and THURSDAY for now... then we'll test every Saturday to see if the dosage needs to be adjusted, and also when the calcium part will need to be added as well. I'd like the alkalinity to settle around 9-10 dKH.

I know the ATL Meteor Shower looks like nothing on that plug, but it was growing from one polyp... literally... one polyp fell off. and I glued it to a plug to see what would happen.

Very nice :D! I'm still jealous that you won a ACjr!

Thanks! I'm just happy to finally have some corals in the tank.

The AC jr. is nice! I still need to pick up a DC4 for it though.

Thanks! haha It's getting there. Can't wait to get all my stuf in tank!

Here are the only decent pics I could get of the watchmen so far. Both pics are of the same one. This one seems to be bolder than the other. They are both around 2.5 inches, though.

Got a bit of bad news regarding the skimmer...

The Warner Marine gen2 H1's are still 4 weeks out from release. So we have a little bit of a problem... we can either run "as is" for 4 weeks, or pick up one of the Octopus models from Salty Critter next week.

I was really hoping to try out the Warner Marine model, because I think it's a slick design... but I think running skimmerless for 4 weeks on this particular setup could cause some problems.

Any OTHER setup... I would have no reservation waiting, but judging from how the addition time line seems to keep rapidly increasing... I think we need to get something on there sooner rather than later.
