I think I'm overreacting a bit lol. I have a tendency to do that injust about every aspect of my life haha. TJ did come over and put the new bulb in, and tested my water and whatnot. My salt level is a little high (1.027) and my nitrates are still at 10, but besides that he thinks things are fine. We're going to do a big water change tomorrow.

Thanks for your concern Mitchell. I just get stressed out sometimes and think Im in way over my head, lol. The new bulb looks awesome already. TJ said it will take about 3 days until I see the true colors of the bulb, though. I'm excited bc it looks so much better already!

ditto on my first 4 fish! :lol: poor things didnt even know what hit 'em!

i think the worst was when my hippo tang, clown, lawnmower blenny and purple psuedochromis all had ich at the same time. i didnt have a QT to keep them in and i was using a formaldahyde based treatment called FORMALIN3, so i had to catch each fish every day and put them into a 5g bucket with the treatment. i had the bucket set up with treatment water and an airstone to keep the water oxygenated. so every day i would catch the fish and put them in the bucket to soak for 15 minutes, then add them back into the display. i think i had to do that for like 5 weeks or something? what a drag that was! i think i shoulda saved myself the hassle and just flushed them at the first sign of the ich!

I popped over for a few minutes today. The tank looked fine, and she's definitely over reacting. I don't think anyone skated through there first tank without any losses. If anything, the ich just brought the tank bioload back into check for her. The Watchman Goby pair and Sixline Wrasse looked fine and dandy.

Anyway, the bulb really perked things up, and the tank seems much brighter. So I reduced the photo period back to 6 hrs for the time being. Hopefully I'll be able to borrow a PAR meter soon to do some testing on my own tank, and when I do will check out what's going on with hers.

Also, test fit everything for the sump... and man everything fits into it's corresponding compartment perfectly. Hopefully I'll have some time to drill the holes, and bring the sump online later this week.

So today we're suppossed to be doing a big water change. I'm really going to bug TJ to drill these holes today also, but I don't know if I'll be able to convince him to do it lol I'm also going to have him bring his camera over to take some pics....since his pictures are 1000 times better than mine.

Well...a little turn of events. I'm going to be moving to Akron, OH in 3 weeks as I will be the Grad Asst. for the men's basketball team!! (so pumped). I just have to decide what to do with the tank because its not coming with me....blah. headaches!!!!
