LAK's 15g Cube

I've decided on a skimmer for the tank, so hopefully we can get it ordered tomorrow. We're going to get the Octopus BH-1000 to start. I'm still going to try and get my hands on a Warner Marine gen2 H1 once they become available. I would really like to do a direct comparison and write up on the two. So we'll just have to wait and see what happens over the next few weeks.

Thanks Mitchell and Dave. It's nice to not have to depend on TJ for every little thing. Even though I'm sure he loves helping me sooooo much lol

Sounds like a plan!

Unfortunate and heartbreaking update:

I may be breaking down the tank for personal reasons. I do not have the knowledge, assets or time to do this alone.

I am just not confident enough in myself, that I can be successful in keeping a healthy and happy reef at this point.

I love the tank so so much. I hope everything works out. I'll be updating shortly.

You can't just leave the tank in cruise control for a while whilst you read up and gain some more knowledge about everything?
I'd hate to see it torn down after only being up for such a little time :(
You know TJ will help you out where ever you are unsure :)

:eek1: hwat?

next on the list is the skimmer plus doing some reading and water changes and taking it slow.

You've put a lot of time and effort into this tank and you already said that you love it, so I'm sure you can do it. We all get sacared at times and we all have our ups and downs, just don't let it get to you. You'll do a great job. keep up the good work :)

Yeah Laura, dont fret. This is a tough "sport", but, you can do it! You have RC to help you learn all you need to know about all of the ins and outs. Dont give up yet....we will all help out!

Thanks for your support everyone. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the tank. Just got to take it slow now, I suppose.

I may be picking up some corals today.A little ray of sunshine in my life you could say. Keep ya posted.

Well obviously I have not given all hope up on the tank yet. lol
I have been adding a decent amount of corals lately, so I thought I would post some pics.

Due to some recent developments, Laura's system is going to be overhauled. Hopefully the transition will be rather smooth, but I think it will be much better for the tank and its inhabitants in the long run.

More details and a plan will be released in a few days after I make some phone calls.
