I recently bought one of the kits i have read the instructions and when i follow to how i have interpreted it i get a much lower reading than any other test kit that i have.........do i add a drop at a time an mix and keep going until the colour holds, then do i keep going till i hit past end point and then back up by 1 or 2 drops to know my alk result??????

Hello,

Thank you for your post, according to the instructions, you want to insert the adapter tip into the opening in the titrator tube cap. Slowly depress the plunger to dispense the titrating solution. Gently swirl the tube to mix the solution. Normally you want to swirl the solution after every drop. You want to Continue adding the titrating solution until the specified color change occurs. If the color change does not occur when the large ring on the
plunger reaches the bottom of the scale, refill the Titrator to
the zero line.and continue dripping the titration solution until the color change occurs. To read the final result, read directly from the
scale where the large ring on the Titrator meets the Titrator
barrel. (see figure on step 11 From your instruction booklet) If the
Titrator was refilled to reach the final color change, add the total amounts of titrant used to determine the final test result. For example you went thru the whole syringe and the color did not change, you refilled the syringe after the additional drops you are adding the color finally changes and the reading on the Syringe is 50 you want to add that 50 to the original 200 which will give you a total of 250 which is the total of titrating solution used.
