Lanceolatus Wrasse Care

Guys, unfortunately I have received rose band Pair. Huge drama..someone is going to be in deep trouble by packing and shipping me the wrong fish.

I had the same problem with rose bands that a pet shop imported from TMC

According to the vendor, it's either his supplier's Mexican employee packed and shipped the wrong fish or the exporter misilabelled the fish.... His supplier was having meeting among themselves to sort things out. .I even put my male rose band into the QT to make a definite comparison. I am very disappointed and somehow speechless.

Let me tell you that if your vendor ordered from the same distributor. My friend picked up some of these "Lancelotus" from them fir me, they are rose bandeds miss identified. It doesnt matter if the guy was Mexican that packed the fish. The label on the tank for these fish were labeled Lancelotus.

Zoas man I am guessing your vendor was Aquarium concepts (since I see you post in Bay area foruns) in dublin as a friend told me that they have some if these so called fish labeled as lancelotus.

so i called this store mentioned above...and they dont have a fish labeled that. but have in the past. Very interesting

Yes, surely that won't end well. Please take some initiative now and prevent inherent deaths...

As an aside and to all, personally I would be more than hesitant to believe any vendor claiming they had lanceolatus, unless said vendor was located in Japan, specifically Blue Harbor Aquatics.

This. I think the original poster was scammed; maybe not intentionally, but scammed never the less.

Scott w Michael has written in his book wrasses & parrotfishes
(it is not particularly aggressive, but because it tends to be larger than most congeners, it is usually the dominant fairy wrasse in the tank )

I think there is a lot of mis info on this wrasse
My male bathyphilus is much more aggressive than my roseafascia
