LARGE Bristle Worm and Vermitid Snails

See pic of a small portion of the Bristle Worm in my tank. It is currently sharing the tank with my Pistol shrimp, watchman goby as well as the cleaner shrimp and some Nassarius snails . . . must be very crowded in there !!!

Really would like to get him out . . . every trap I have tried seems to go ignored except by the smaller babies. I estimate him to be about 10" long minimum, what is the best bait??

Either this worm or the large number of Vermatid Snails I have are really annoying some of my corals. Would like the Vermatid gone too but no one seems to have a good resource in any of the MANY threads I've read.

Just hate seeing the corals so unhappy and want to resolve. Plus this the worm is eating some of my other snails as I get a new empty shell every week !!!

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Maria

Try using a water bottle trap. People usually use this for crabs, but with a worm that big it might work. Try a piece of raw shrimp for bait. Might get more than the worm in the trap, but you could just use a tweezers to separate them. You could also try a sixline wrasse or a yellow cleaner wrasse, I have had both and they eat worms. I also had a lunar wrasse that was too aggressive in my tank but would eat big worms. All these wrasse would pick at vermatids, I was always seeing the sixline picking at rocks.

I caught 2 footers in the standard trap they sell at marine depot, I used mysis for bait and did at night when lights were out.

Thank you everyone. Will try the bottle trap again. Thought I had read cooked shrimp somewhere so that may have been the problem. And will order one of the larger traps too.

And maybe a yellow wrasse will be in order for the snails. Been holding off on another fish since everyone is getting along so well with each other right now, hate to upset the apple cart, lol.
