Large tank Owners chime in?

I made the switch to LEDS as well. I only use 2 -4' VHOS now to help light the BOW section of my DT. Other than that, the MHs are gone. They were a massive heat generator. Now, i just use an 11 dollar box fan set on low to circulate air in the fish tank room. I have 410 gals spread out over 3 tanks and a sump.

FWIW Darts are actually really good from an efficiency perspective as far as external pumps are concerned. You pretty much have to have at least one external (for the return pump) and choosing a high flow/low pressure pump will be the most efficient choice usually. Of course this assumes a low head (i.e. sump isn't two stories below the DT).
