Large toadstool and SPS is it a problem

I have a really nice three toadstool that I have had for years. I now have a number of nice sps that I do not want to loose. Do I have to worry about toxins with the toadstool? It is hosting a clown and did not know if that was a problem although the toadstool does not seem to be bothered by it. It is also directly in the middle of my tank and gets flow from wave makers on either side. I also am not running carbon right now but could put it back, just to be on the safe side.

Thanks

I always run carbon when I have mixed reefs with sps. Never have any problems doing it this way. No carbon and a sick or mad leather could be problematic to some degree.

That is what I was thinking, I will put it back on just to be safe. Right now I have LPS, SPS mostly, I have some rics and Zoas but the leather makes me nervous. I could give it away easily but it is such a nice coral and would hate to do that.

These leathers and SPS have been leaving together for the last 2 years. No carbon and no skimmer (no skimmer the last year). Only 20% water changes every week.
