Largest clam you have seen in a private reef tank?

Anyone have any idea what the largest clam a person could keep in a private tank? I mean, how large could you possibly have and still provide enough food for the clam?

I keep an 18" clam in my tank.

He is trying to get more light. Tank is newly setup when that shot was taken; not much nutrient to feed on.

Here is the one at the Waikiki Aquarium

and here is CaptiveReefer's and it is the largest privatly owned giga's I know of

His pic was posted in 06" and then he stated it was at least 2.5' long. The tank it is in is 360 gallons and he has more big clams in there too. Here is a link to the thread. I sent him a pm asking him to give an update on the clam so hopefully he does.

That's a whole lotta clam!

That is indeed a huge beautiful clam. Amazing. How old is that clam anyways? And how much does it grow each year?

I don't know if anyone knows Greg Schrimer ,or if he posts here anymore. He has one of the oldest and largest clams I have ever seen.He could give a great story behind trying to upgrade to a larger take .The clam had grown so large he had to remove the glass to get it out. It might be worth drawing him in to your thread if possible.
