Larval tank info suggestions??

Hi Everyone,
I'm sure this has been asked before but the search function hasn't worked for me in I don't know how long.
I have a pair spawning seems like every 2-3 weeks like clockwork. I have 4 2liter bottles of Nanno going, a 5 gallon tank of Rots going, and 6 20 gal tanks all hooked to a central sump with G4X skimmer, 70 lbs live rock, Macro algae for nitrates, all water returns thru a UV sterilizer. I have a larval snagger to catch them after hatch so male incubates them. they will have their own 20. heater set for 80. and an airstone for light circulation. then after about a week slowly start water flow from sump thru tank gradually building up to same flow as parent tanks. I welcome any suggestions, I have been wanting to raise clowns for years and now I have the food and larvae to give it a shot.
feel free to chime in with any thoughts!!!
Thanks,
Brian

It looks good, well planned.

I think you have it covered :D Might wanna ditch the airstone and just go with rigid tube, I think that's the general consensus.

What species?

I have three pairs in the same setup, Perc, Ocellaris, and Maroon.
they all have a central sump I thought being in the same water with a pair actively spawning would "inspire" the others, doesn't seem to matter to them. The Ocellaris are the ones breeding. I was going to run air under the heater to keep them away from it.
also was thinking a slow airflow thru one of those sponge filters for fry? so do you want big bubbles or small "airstone" bubbles for the larvae? The nests seem to be getting bigger each spawn, I am really excited to be a clown papa.

really? ditch the airstone? I always use airstones. Why not use them?

Ditto! :)

Hmm... maybe it's just a habbit I picked up from seahorse breeding, microbubbles are very bad for seahorse fry and adult males as well. Probably doesn't apply to clown larvae afterall

Advantage of airstones is they put more O2 in the water. There is more surface contact with the water using many tiny bubbles than the same volume of air shaped into fewer larger bubbles.

Might be worth a try!

I do use them for 02 sutaration but in the backside of the divived tanks, not the larvae section. Guess I'll give it a try :D

There are a couple good threads with pics. Don't bother with "search", just back up a couple weeks and look for the threads that say "breeding setup" or "breeding system". If you use search also try "growout" .
