KMP
Wag More; Bark Less
The build was a lot of fun. Tank is filled; partially stocked with corals and fish - well, I'd be fully stocked if I hadn't lost a few (fish that is). During the stock up the latest/most rewarding experience to date has happned. My six year old girl (Karolina) was bitten by the reef bug
On a school day I can't get her out of bed. On a Saturday, she's up at 0700 asking if she can check the water parameters. Last night she free lanced and checked them without any oversight. She brought in each tube and all the parameters were spot on.
She wants a clam...hard to control the impulse of buying just "any" clam I'm trying my best to keep her at bay until we find a "wow" clam. Been hard, but I understand Aqua Life will be getting in a large shipment soon so hopefully we'll find Mr. Wow!
Tonight I got a phone call before I left work. (In the most frantic 6 year old voice imaginable) "Daddy, the crabs killed the yellow fish." Kinda hard to explain to a 6 year old on the phone that the crabs (hermit) didn't kill them; but, it's actually a good thing that they are now devouring it's flesh
I'm sure we'll have long conversations about it tomorrow.
So tomorrows the frag swap. She's anxious to come and has taken a pass on gymnastics and being home when Grandma and Grandpa come by for a visit (true testament to her new found devotion). When you see here tomorrow, say hey (but also know that a 6 year old gets freaked by a lot of strangers). It will be easy to find her...just look for a dad grinning from ear to ear. Not becuase he's at the frag swap...because his little reefer is at his side
