Latz clowns

iBluewater.com, Diver's Den, some place in Hawaii that captive-breeds them... those are the only three I know of. Latz will be really high prices any way you go.

pacfic island aquatics has them. Not a bad price. I have two of them from there and are good quality

Important info...

They are temperate water clowns in their native range. The wild caught ones do not do well in warmer tanks. They are larger clowns, and are very skittish / jumpy. Within their native range they are only found in H. crispa and E. quadricolor - possibly because those are the only two clown anemones found in cooler waters.

The tank-raised ones out of Oahu are the best way to go. The babies are raised in warmer water so they do better in our tanks. Also, this particular breeder refuses to release culls or misbars, so the quality is guaranteed to be good. Other sources - you're taking your chances. There is at least one breeder releasing culls to the market because they can still be sold for a high price. Expect to pay about $150 or so for top quality tank-raised. If someone is asking more, find a different source.

I agree with Bonsai. Mine are captive bred and from the the Oahu breeder. They love the E. Quadricolor. They were in it within an hour of being in the tank.

Mine are also doing great from Pacific Island Aquatics, but they haven't taken to my BTA yet (hopefully soon).

Sweet. I already have a geen Bta so it should like that. And so Pacific Island aquatics has good ones..? I have a peaceful reef tank 34gallons that has other smaller fish. The bigest I have is a diamond Goby. Then my Firefish.

When you say temperate, what temp ranges are you keeping for them?

They are certainly beautiful fish.

i have a pair of WC and a friend has a misbar pair. her CB are more skittish than my WC large pair. my large female loves the company and swims all over the tank following me around and diving in an out of her flame tip. she is so fun to watch.
