Lavender Tang Abnormality ID

Hello,

I purchased a very healthy looking lavender tang about 3 weeks ago. He is eating mysis well and had no visible or behavioral signs of any problems. About a week ago I noticed a small fuzzy looking brown spot on his nose about 2mm wide along with some twitching and rubbing on the sand and rock. I haven't been able to catch him yet but just picked up a trap this weekend. Today the fuzzy brown patch is about 6mm. I am not sure what this is or how to treat. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Head and lateral line erosion? What are you feeding him?

I am feeding green nori (just started soaking in a drop of selcon) He has just recently in the last few days been eating this really well. I am also feeding H2O Life Spirulina/Brine/Mysis (also just started soaking with selcon)

Should I start feeding anything different? Is it worth trying to catch this guy and medicate him?
