Current System is a standard off the shelf 55g display w/33g frag tank sharing a common sump.
Display tank lighting: (2) 250w Radium's and (2) 54w 12k Giesemann T5's
Frag tank lighting: 400w Radium on light mover
Filter: Aqua C Remora Protein Skimmer and Fiji Live Rock

Tank has been running about 5 years but had been a softy and LPS reef prior to Aug 2008.

Keeping colors has been my biggest challenge. Here are some pics.

The cap made contact with a Bali Slimer. Looks like the cap is going to win.

Looks great!! Im really surprised that the cap is winning the battle with the slimer. My slimer is beating my idaho grape. My orange cap couldn't beat a wet sock :lol:

Thank you all for the nice comments. I have a lot to learn about optimizing color and placement but having a blast doing so. Will post up some pics on the business end and would love to here feedback, recommendations or observations.

I was surprised to see that as well. The cap seems to be growing faster where it made contact with the slimer. Maybe a survival response?

Great looking tank and i too like the aquascape. I was also having trouble keeping colors. All i did was stop dosing everything, but alk calcium and mag, and i only do those when i need to because my kalk right now takes care of most of it. I started to feed only once a day with frozen food mixed with oysterfest and rotifeast, just a 1/2 tsp of each and put it in. I found the more stable your water parm. are the better the color you will get.
