Leaking RO prefilter housing

I have an AquaSafe 5 stage RO/DI unit. The first prefilter housing is leaking. All three prefilters are mounted on a common bracket. All three prefilters seem to be screwed to the bracket and connected to each other with some sort of fitting. I'm trying to avoid getting a new unit Is it possible to replace the leaking housing when they're mounted like this?

Are you sure it is tight and threaded right? I had this problem once and it wasn't tight enough.

even a single grain of sand can cause it to leak. Take off that filter, remove and clean the oring from the housing, claen the groove where it sits, and then lightly lubricate with just enough silicone grease to make it shiny.

If the above doesn't work, take the lid off and inspect it. Had on a few years back that kept leaking and finally checked the lid and there was a hairline fracture in it.

Believe me, it's screwed on tight. When I pulled out the o-ring, it didn't feel round, it felt a little flat. Are these o-rings a standard size? I wouldn't know where to get one or what size to get. I'll try to post a couple of pictures.

All you should have to do to tighten it is screw it on until it first seats in the housing and then snug it up a little by hand. If you used a filter wrench to put it on I would go to HD/Lowes and look for a new gasket. If it is deformed at all it just won't seal properly

Not sure how to add pictures, but if you look in my albums, you'll see an Album called RO. There's two pictures there, one is of the whole unit, the other is a close up of where the leak is.
