I found out the hard way that the leopard blenny is not a reef safe fish
his diet includes SPS CORALS

when i got home i found 3 of my stony corals being eaten by my leopard blenny
just in case you guys see this fish he is not reef safe
 
LOL.... Nice fish. Sucks for your sps. Can't imagine how will you catch him in your freakin tank. I'll call you tomorrow to check him out and grab some hermits.
 
I posted a month ago about a similar thing. I had a black sail fin blenny that was fine for 3 months or so and I caught him eating one of my acros one day. Put that acro into my frag tank to save it. Next day he was onto another acro. removed that one, next day same thing. I was able to catch him and put him in the sump.

One acro lost so much tissue I decided to glue it. Its already encrusted about half way over the glue, and all three acros are recovering well, after a month or so.

No more blenny ever for me.
 
Sorry to hear that. I actually saw one of those when I was snorkeling in Hawaii and have been wondering what it was ever since.
 
All blennies can do that, but the majority don't, including Leopards. Sorry you got one of the ones that does, but don't right off all of them due to a minority case.
