OK - Since I am the newly elected "special Events " person for the club - I figured this is a great "special event" for the club to go to. See link below to the 2017 Lear Fragswap.

I do not think anything is on the Fragswapper or Reeftrader websites yet - but I will post link to those when it is determined which website they will use. For the past 2 years trades were hosted on Reeftrader.com. Last year we had a good group that went to this event and had a great time- then most of us went out to dinner/drinks. So, lets get a list of those interested - so we can organize vehicles to ride share, etc. Just post if you going for sure, also if your willing to drive or need a ride or if you just possibly interested in going and have questions. I will be going for sure.
 
We will car pool to the event and the club will pay for gas and entrance fees for any member of the club who is paid up on dues that wishes to go with the group.
 
Sounds like a great deal.
Barring any extraordinary circumstances including weather and conflicting work schedule, I will be going. I can drive if necessary.

Fetta - if you want something - I am sure one of us can pick it up for you. Sorry you can't come.
 
Maybe I'll go....not necessarily with PMASI (the meetings are a bit of a drive for me). All the other frag swaps that have been near her were in the fall- I had a competition during every single one of them!

I would encourage you to come check out a meeting or two to see if the drive is worth it or not. Next month we are having Mike Paletta doing a presentation, might be worth the trip to check it out.
 
Now that it's getting close and is up on ReefTrader, do we need to register as attendees individually to reserve items.

Yes, you need to register to reserve items. We don't have a group login or anything if that is what you are asking.
 
Anyone with prior experience carrying cold sensitive frags to the frag swap and back in February?

I'm planning on at least bringing a cooler with some hot packs.
 
Make sure you have proper temp/salinity extra tank water to use for dipping corals when you get home. Some say if the frag is mounted on a frag plug - break it off as the plug could have eggs that are resistant to dipping. Then after dipping the coral use a new frag plug and remount it. You can't be too careful as some of the pests are nasty and tough to get rid of one they are introduced into your system.
 
Oh yeah... plenty of water and bayer, that's for sure. I just got through my own red bugs issue and while the treatment was very effective and safe, I don't want to do it again. But then again... I dip everything and still managed to get it somehow...

To coordinate efforts and avoid duplicate orders if at all possible, here's my current list of confirmed reservations:

Pittsburgh - that is a great list, a few I have on my watch list. My tank is doing OK - but I don't want to buy anything that is tough to keep/grow or past the $20 mark as its only a 6 month old tank. Hopefully, I will be able to buy a frag off you down the road.
