I just aquired a 110 gal tank and it came with a 7 1/2 inch toadstool. it's a monster. It did sustain some damage while in transport. It is attatched to a rather large piece of live rock. After being squashed by a large piece of live rock the toadstool looked kinda squashed like a crushed coke can. It recieved the impact on the side but then kind of squated down. It has now stood back up almost completly and looks good .... except it apears to be spliting off from the rock close to the base. It looks like it's got a hatchet wound and it is not the same place as it recieved the impact. All water pram's are good. I have adjusted the flow to bounce off the front glass and am trying to suport it with current the best I can. Can someone help me save this toadstool?

He is good, you can chop them up and grow new ones from the peices. He should fully reattach himself with in a week or so.

If tears away, you can set him in the sand bed so it can atatch to the sand then super glue it to a larger rock, or rubber band him to peice of rock.

Nice, Thanks a lot guys. Can anyone give me more details about how to cut a piece off and make a new piece?

There are a lot of videos on you tube on how to frag them. You cut a peice off of the rim and atach it to a rock and it will grow another one and the mother will heal and continue to grow. If you are new to the hobby though don't worry about fragging yet, things can be dangerous. Learn the fundamentals of reefing first. If you are not new then read up on fragging.

if you think thats big u should see my lfs it has a 13 in one it has its own tank there going to do a bid on ot and someone already has said 450 for it
