Led hanging height question

Hi i have a 40B and 165W ebay full spectrum reef led. How high should i mount the light from water surface also what is your setting on the dimmer to avoid bleaching the corals

If it has dual channels white and blue. Start off slow like 20 blue 10 white. And then a week later a little more. What is the length of the fixture? I have mine about 8 to 10 inch off the water.

I have my reef breeders 8 in off the water

It all depends on the optics on your fixture.

60 degree = 16-24" off the water
90 degree = 10-16" off the water
120 degree = 4-10" off the water
