led light question

So I have the onyx 80° dimmable rapidled...I was told since my tank is only a 20 gallon to have the blues and the whites on the lowest setting...my 2 questions are would I burn my corals if a set it any higher? And also would my coral still grow if I just left the blues on? My tank looks killer with just the blues on

I wouldn't run just the blues, but I would run more light than just the min once your tank is acclimated to the light. How long have you had it on there? Add a small amount at a time and see what happens. If you go slow you'll see any negative effects. I ran a evergrow for a few months and ramped it up well past what a lot of people online recommended, and never bleached anything at all, so I think it's mostly a case by case basis with vague rules of how things might effect your tank. Personally I'd add like 10% blues and in a couple weeks add just a touch more whites.. Maybe 2-5%, that way as you ramp up your blue channel with help the tank keep the look you want.

Like Steve said I would start low and work your way up. I don't run an onyx but I do run the RapidLED DIY kit. I started out about 40% and slowly worked it up to 100% blue 75% white and UV.

Just take your time bringing it up.

It's been up and running a little more than 2 months...OK so don't run just blues, I kind of figured that...I'm kind of worried about raising it but I want what's best for my corals...I'll raise it a little bit starting today and see what happens

If Luis is correct isn't Mike from Rapid coming to the meeting? Get the answer straight from the horses mouth especially with the fixture he sells maybe even created. That's a long time from now though so id just email them.

Wow that would be great if I could talk to him face to face...3 weeks is not a long time at all...I was told patience is a virtue with saltwater lol

According to Mike at RapidLED they should be at the meeting. I do agree with what everyone else is saying though just ramp it up gradually little by little.
