LED question

Im looking to start a few corals in my 4 year old fish only with live rock 29 gallon.
My buddy gave me some shrooms and I love what they did for my tank. I dont have much money so I found the Green Element EVO Quad LED lighting on the net. Does anyone have any knowledge of this system? There isnt much to go by on the net and I just wanted to find out if they would be reliable and do the job. By the way, Im not interested in growing clams, just some mushrooms, and zoos, all beginner stuff. Thanks and I love the website.

Bobo, it probably isn't people don't like the led lights you're asking about, this thread is to talk about TBS Live Rock. You might want to jump on one of the threads that are discussing led lights systems. Good luck!

The stuff you are wanting to keep does not need a intense lighting system, or expensive. What shape is the tank? I've had great luck with Kessil. I have a 54 bowfront and I have one Kessil 350 that does a great job. The also make the A150 which is smaller. They are not that expensive. Check em out. If you have lets say a nano style tank then one 150 would do perfect, and later if you want to grow other things that need more intensity , you already have it. It's in a great small package and has had very good reviews.

I have a standard 29 gallon now but Im setting up a 47 column that will be 30 inches deep. I was worried about light penatrating to that depth. Thats why I chose that particular lighting system. I will look into the kessils though. Thanks a lot.

The column shaped tank would be perfect for your needs. Get the A350, NOT the A350W. That one has a wider spread with not as much penetration. The A350 you will love. It's dimmable so at night you can turn down the white and leave the blue on. It's a great night time effect with just the turn of a knob.
