LED Question?

Any help would be great...

I'm looking for a LED light for a 90 gallon tank, 48 inches long, that will simulate Dawn to Dusk lighting and moon patterns on an internal timer. My budget is around $2,000.00, So my first order is to bring the question to Reef Central Community, what is the Best light for the buck? Also I don't what to have to build and solder anything together, just plug and play. I would also prefer to have some sort or hanging bracket. Any help would be great. Thanks.....

While I don't use them personally, the Maxspect Razor sounds like it might be a good choice for what you are looking for. And will fall well within your budget.

Afaik, the only way to get a natural lunar cycle is to use a reef keeper controller with their lunar lights. You would have to use a custom built led system with the reef keeper. If you don't want to build it yourself, there might be people out there who could built it for you. I have a custom cCree led system with a reef keeper lite. It has the lunar light pods.

Actually, an apex can do the same thing but it's not necessary as radions have a lunar cycle built to the LEDs. Their dawn to desk effect is also very well done. As for hanging them, there are several brackets available directly from ecotech, I made my own from eztube tho. Before choosing any particular led tho, I would highly recommend find a store or fellow hobbyist using them so you can compare for yourself. I spent three macnas looking, went to many stores and tested several from friends before choosing radions.

Look into the photon48 from reefbreeders.com.. Also for the hanging part.. Marinedepot has Aquaticlife stand light fixture hangers that has worked for me.. It held my 8 bulb TEK fixture with no problem..

If you do decide to go with this fixture.. I suggest to customize the LED layout..

Hope that helps!!

I use the aqua illumination sol. the new controller does everything, and its easy to setup.
you can use their hanging kit or the ext mounting rail to mount from the back. the hydra comes with wireless capabilities so you can use the controller from any where in your house without having to purchase a 500$ apex

I really really like them. has cloud cover for partly and mostly cloudy days you can have thunderstorms, set it for different regions of the world. and have a lunar cycle. one button press for coral acclimation.
